Strategic Planning and Reporting
Planning and Reporting Framework
State Strategic Plan
Every odd year, DIR publishes a rolling five-year plan for the top IT priorities across the state. The priorities set forth in the State Strategic Plan provide a roadmap for agencies to develop the Technology Resources Planning section of their Agency Strategic Plans. This plan is due to state leadership by November 1.
Agency Strategic Plan
Every even year, agencies are required to produce an Agency Strategic Plan. DIR provides instructions for the Technology Resources Planning section of the plan. In this section, agencies report on how their planned technology solutions align with the priorities established from the State Strategic Plan. This plan is due to DIR around June.

Biennial Performance Report
Every even year, DIR publishes the Biennial Performance Report. This document looks back at the priorities from the State Strategic Plan and reports on their progress by consolidating the information from Agency Strategic Plans. The report also includes legislative recommendations and adjunct reports on specific technology areas. This report is due to state leadership by November 15.
Information Resources Deployment Review
Every odd year, agency Information Resources Managers (IRMs) complete the Information Resources Deployment Review. This is a standardized survey used for evaluating each agency’s technology environment and to confirm compliance with certain statutes, rules, and standards. The results are sent to DIR and the Quality Assurance Team. If agencies are non-compliant in certain areas, they must submit a Corrective Action Plan. This review is due in December.
