  • Install database management software (DBMS)
  • Configure DBMS parameters
  • Apply DBMS operating system patches
  • Capacity planning of database instances
  • Performance tuning of database instances
  • Reorganization of the database as necessary
  • Create instances in all environments
  • Add/change/delete database objects in production and pre-production

Logical Database Administration:

  • DBA support for new application development
  • Data schema design in support of new application design team
  • Directory maintenance for data definitions -  Size estimates for new application databases
  • Support database release upgrades and assist in application integration
  • Application tuning and performance recommendations
  • Has extensive knowledge of agency applications
  • Add/change/delete database objects in development and initial test environments
