Data Center Services - Vendor Resources

Overview

Business Opportunities

DIR is committed to providing competitive business opportunities to all qualified vendors. Taxpayer dollars are maximized when Texas government has a vibrant technology vendor community. By encouraging competition and by enabling equitable market forces on all public sector technology initiatives, Texas will benefit through highly attractive pricing, improved service levels, and strong collaboration with private sector companies, both large and small.

On June 22, 2007, DIR hosted a Vendor Forum to explain the Data Center Services (DCS) Contract to the vendor community. Topics included an overview of the DCS contract, contract provisions relating to hardware and software, and the intersection of the contract with the DIR Go Direct Program. Additionally, presenters described how vendors can participate and how the DCS governance process will support enterprise technology decisions.
