Office of Attorney General, Child Support Division
PM Practice: The Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division uses a project management methodology based on the principles published in the Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK ® Guide. The project management methodology includes tools and templates such as a Project Management Plan, Risk Management Plan, Communication Management Plan, and Lessons Learned.

Department of Aging and Disability Services, Information Technology
PM Practice: The Department of Aging and Disability Services, Information Technology, has developed a scalable project management methodology leveraging Project Management Institute (PMI) standards. Using this methodology, projects are categorized into specific tiers based on estimated project cost, effort in hours, duration and risk. Different levels of deliverables are required based on processes and tools that are appropriate for each tier. Extensive tools and a best practice methodology for project management and systems development have been developed to facilitate a quality outcome and customer approved product.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)
PM Practice: The HHS Enterprise IT Project Office (EPO) makes available to the five HHSC member agencies a best practices project management methodology. The methodology includes IT policies, standards, process guides, and templates for utilization by various sized IT projects. The methodology's templates integrate the Texas Project Delivery Framework 'core' template with a wrapper that adds information on approach, scaling for smaller projects, and HHS unique information (as an appendix). The methodology's standards and process guides leverage the Project Management Institute standards in addition to HHS legacy best practices.

Texas Workforce Commission
PM Practice: The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) uses a project management methodology refined by years of project experience, lessons learned and continuous improvement. The project management methodology includes tools and templates such as project deliverables expectations confirmation (an outline of all activities and work products for each deliverable), budget tracking, change management, issue resolution, quality assurance and risk management. The processes are appropriate for use with projects of any size or complexity.

Texas State Comptroller of Public Accounts
PM Practice: The Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) Information Technology Division (ITD) uses defined project management processes based on industry best practices, the Capability Maturity Model for Software, IEEE Standards for Software Engineering, and the Project Management Institute (PMI) PMBOK ® Guide. The ITD Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process incorporates project planning activity, quality assurance and configuration management. SDLC outputs include not only software products, but all supporting documentation, including the Project Management Plan. Each phase of the SDLC process will be updated to include Texas Project Delivery Framework products.
