Department of Information Resources
November 15, 2008

The Texas Legislature requires DIR to report biennially to the state’s leadership on the use of information resources by state government. The Texas Transformation: Technology-Driven Value presents DIR’s progress report on the statewide initiatives proposed in the 2008-2012 State Plan for Information Resources Management, The Texas Transformation: Delivering Technology That Matters. Together, these initiatives form the foundation for driving government technology transformation now and into the future.

This report includes an assessment of the major technology management issues confronting state government and recommends legislation to address these issues. Six statutorily-required reports are also included as an appendix to the report.
