Inventory and Consolidation Analysis

This publication reports on the consolidation of data center services within institutions and systems of higher education, as well as the impact of consolidation efforts on the Lonestar Education and Research Network. This report is required by Section 9.06 of Article IX of the appropriations act for the fiscal 2006-07 biennium, “Higher Education Institution Data Centers.”

DIR appreciates the cooperation of the four state university systems and four independent state universities in the collection of information and development of this report. The universities and systems are supportive of the report’s goals and conclusions.
