The purpose of the Voice over IP Best Practices is to provide state agencies with the planning resources necessary for management and technology staff to facilitate successful VoIP implementation.In addition to providing technical and operational suggestions to consider before deploying VoIP, the Best Practices utilize the Texas Project Delivery Framework as a tool for managing a VoIP implementation. Because of this, these Best Practices can serve as a practical Project Management template for assessing and managing a VoIP Project. DIR welcomes your input and suggestions to update these Best Practices.
