Sale or Transfer of Computers and Software

Texas Government Code 2054.130 (2005) requires that state agencies permanently remove data from data processing equipment before disposing of or otherwise transferring the equipment. The “Sale or Transfer of Computers and Software” addresses what information should be removed and the different processes that can and should be used.
