Building a Better Texas through Shared Responsibilities
2005 State Strategic Plan for Information Resources Management

Department of Information Resources
December 14, 2005

The State Strategic Plan for Information Resources Management offers a vision for Texas government to maximize the value of its investment in technology to best serve Texans. This vision will be achieved by working together in areas of common interest, using technology to advance agency-specific missions while preserving flexibility to innovate. DIR produces the plan every two years under the guidance of the legislature and state executive leadership and in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders.

In Shared Success, DIR introduces ten statewide objectives that support the state strategic goals that govern the state’s technology investment. Detailed information regarding the fulfillment of each objective is provided through the plan strategies. The plan is available either as a Full Edition, which includes the main body and appendices, or as an Executive Edition, which consists of the main body only.
