Subscribing to Security Email Distribution Lists
Security Officer List
Only officially designated Information Security Officers (ISOs) from Texas State agencies or universities are granted subscription privileges.
The Security Officer List is a moderated distribution list that allows ISOs in Texas state government to share information and to collaborate with their peers via email.
Subscribers may use the list to:
- seek advice from other government ISOs regarding security issues
- receive updates on current security alerts
- discuss technical issues
- request referrals or opinions about IT security products and services
- share resources and expertise
The request to join this distribution list must come from a Texas state agency designated Information Resource Manager (IRM). The request should be sent to DIR Security. If a request for the email distribution list is generated, it will be held for approval by the list administrator with approval notification granted via email. The list is confidential and available only to the list administrator.
Security List

Subscribers may use the list to:

IRAP Information Exchange List
The Information Resources Asset Protection (IRAP) Information Exchange List is an open communication between subject matter experts in different State of Texas agencies and universities benefiting all members from a collective wisdom and helping with asset protection programs. Note: This list is for state business and should not be used for personal gain. Only Texas (state and local) government employees are eligible for this list.
