AUSTIN-- October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) will be hosting events throughout the month to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity.

AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott has appointed DIR Director of Strategic Digital Services, Jennifer Buaas to the Work Group on Blockchain Matters. The work group will develop a master plan for the expansion of the blockchain industry in Texas and recommend policies and state investments in connection with blockchain technology.

The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) has released new criteria that will be used to certify cybersecurity training programs for Fiscal Year (FY) 2021-2022 (September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022).
